Bernie had always been a go-getter. When he was younger, his parents used to joke that he had more energy than a nuclear power plant. And it seemed like he could never sit still for more than a few minutes. He was always moving, always doing something. So when he turned 18, it was no surprise that he decided to get involved in politics. He volunteered for a local candidate in his first election and was hooked. He loved the excitement of the campaign trail and the thrill of victory on election night. But as he got older, Bernie realized that he wasn’t really accomplishing anything. He was just going through the motions, helping out with campaigns but not really making a difference. He knew he needed to do more. So he started watching training videos on how to be a more effective volunteer. He learned about the importance of door-to-door canvassing and how to make the most of his time on the phone bank. He studied up on the issues and became a more knowledgeable advocate for the candidates he was supporting. As a result of his hard work, Bernie became one of the most effective volunteers in his community. He was always the first to arrive at a campaign event and the last to leave. His hard work paid off, and he began to see real results. Candidates started to win elections that they might have otherwise lost, and Bernie felt like he was really making a difference. He was no longer just going through the motions – he was a force to be reckoned with. And he loved every minute of it

Mastering Phonebanks

Phone Banking

Bernie wasn’t a phonebank person. He’d much rather go door to door and speak to people face to face. But, when a snowstorm hit and he couldn’t go door to door, he took our phonebank training. And now, he’s a leader on the phone. Bernie is a natural when it comes to talking to people. He’s friendly and engaging, and people are drawn to him. When he started phonebanking, he was a little hesitant at first. But he quickly realized that he could use his natural talents to reach even more people. Now, Bernie is one of our most successful phonebankers. He always goes above and beyond, making sure that everyone he speaks to feels heard and valued. He’s made a real difference in our campaign, and we’re so grateful to have him on our team.

Lori had always been a people person. She loved talking on the phone and making connections with people from all walks of life. When she was laid off from her job at the call center, she wasn’t sure what she was going to do next. That’s when she got involved in volunteering for her congress person. She didn’t know much about the process, but she knew that she could talk to people and make a difference. Now, Lori volunteers every chance she gets. She loves talking to voters at the door and hearing their stories. It’s a feeling of accomplishment that she never gets from making a phone call. Lori knows that she’s making a difference in the world, one conversation at a time.

Deep Canvassing

It was a sunny day and I was out canvassing for my favourite candidate in the local election. I knocked on the first door and a young woman answered. We talked for a while about the issues that were important to her and she told me about her fears for the future. She was worried about the environment and the economy. I listened and shared my own concerns. We talked about how the candidate we were both supporting believed in environmental protection and creating jobs. The woman seemed interested and said she would definitely consider voting for our candidate. I was so pleased that I had taken the time to have a deep conversation with her. I knocked on the next door and an elderly man answered. He was very grumpy and didn’t want to talk. I tried to engage him in conversation but he just wasn’t interested. I was about to give up when he suddenly started talking about his wife who had died a few years ago. He said he missed her so much and that life wasn’t worth living without her. I listened and offered my condolences. I told him that I understood how he felt and that I had also lost someone close to me. We talked about our loved ones and the memories we had of them. The man started to cry and I gave him a hug. He thanked me for listening and said that he appreciated me taking the time to talk to him. I went home feeling exhausted but also inspired. I had had some really meaningful conversations with people who I would never have spoken to otherwise. I knew that I had made a difference and that was worth more than anything
